The cast-iron pot, one year on
Every so often someone I met through the hobby asks how things are going with the cast-iron pot, and I never have a short answer. Then again, folding the dough every half hour fits nicely around the radio and a pot of tea. Nothing about this is difficult in theory, which is what makes it so annoying in practice.
Notes to self
The dough spread across the tray like something escaping, and I baked it anyway. By the end of most of a month I had stopped worrying about the cast-iron pot and begun to enjoy it again. I keep a note of these things now, because I forget them faster than I’d like. I wrote down what I’d done at the time, and that’s the only reason I can repeat it.
I’ll leave it there, since the shaping needs my attention.
